We are in northern Italy, and in view of the expected growth in canning production, a large company in the Veneto region decided to replace desalination tanks with TAD treatment stations loaded via UPB.

The use of high-precision laser detection systems was essential to create a customised solution given the logistical situation and available space.

Two 20,000l treatment units were customised complete with all the necessary accessories to automate loading, hydraulic handling of the foodstuff being processed and unloading at the process line.

Among the most important ‘On-board’ accessories we have a circuit for taking the steering liquid and storing it on a lung outside the tank, which is useful to avoid clogging during the unit's loading operation; a grid covering system that allows the entire load to be kept below level during processing and a discrimination system to control the quantity of product leaving during the unloading phase.

Product dispatch to the processing area is by means of UPB 120 to ensure fast and gentle loading.

Processing involves pepper flakes, mushrooms, artichoke wedges, beans and sun-dried tomatoes.
