In a leading company in the production of crisps, a TAD system for the automatic service of several frying lines with whole potatoes was designed, realised and commissioned.

The potatoes, previously stoned and washed, are load inside a hopper. Here a pumping system sends the product throught the first part of the line to the next sending unit, where a second pumping station push the potatoes up to 20 meters of heigh. At that altitude, the pipeline enters a tunnel, which serves the buildings that house the production departments of the new and historic plant. Then, traveling a distance ranging from 150 to 250 meters, and thanks to multiple service lines, the potatoes are automatically conveyed to the relative production line, on the fly with a maximum hourly production capacity ranging from 30,000 to 36,000 kg/h of solid product, with a maximum dimension of 150 mm of diameter.

Thanks to the use of laser detection systems, it was possible to ensure high precision during the design phase, allowing a quick and clean assembly.
